Performance Exhaust with a budget,
I recently got rid of my exhaust because it was getting rusty and busted up, I went to a ghetto/not so ghetto/... muffler shop and got a temperally , exhaust system installed, full cat and everything, it's one of those stock civic looking mufflers. I have a 00 civic si, wit DC headers and AEM cold air, when i down shift, i feel as if so much pressure is being backd up, like the muffler is going to explode, I have a low budget, up to bout 300? - 350... I am looking for a reilable performace full-cat system for around there. I hate loud ,mufflers cuz its a everyday car, i like the Exmag from RS R but thats pricey, i need a quiet but powerful muffler. Anyone can help? much appriciated. thanx.

Yea, i have looked at it, but i heard some sound clips of it, its a big rumbly, or it mite just be me. I live in chicago, sorry to say but cops are assshoe's here, they pull u over if u have a loud muffler. I will look into the WS, but performance wise, wut muffler performs best with low noise? thanx

try kteller.com
They make a custom mandrel bent pipe in 2.25 and 2.5, and you can get whatever muffler you want. make sure you keep the cat, get a highflow magnaflow cat on eGay or something, and then if you really want a quiet exhaust, look at getting an OEM muffler, one off a ep3, RSX type-S, CTR, ITR, etc. I have the kteller 2.5 and a twin loop now, but i am about to get a RSX-S muffler. should be nice and quiet.

Re: (cdizzle)
not too sure, I will know by tomorrow though. if you buy a used one off someone that just upgraded, then i imagine it cant be too expensive. My friend tossed his old on off his RSX-S. Too bad i didnt want it then. I have seen RSX cat backs go for $100-150
