People who've went from EK to EG chime in....i need some opinions
 

here's the deal i guess...

For the last year i've owned an EK hatch...i've done plenty to it...swapped...disc conversion... the 6 yards i guess lol....its still far from done/9 ...needs paint and misc other junk.
before this i owned a delsol...and $ was an issue so i sold it for big bank to someone so i could buy a hatch. I love the body style of the EK but i hate how nothing is interchanable, and i hate obd2, and i hate conversion harness's....i have my reasons.

Local deal came up with one of my buddies who was like i wanna get rid of my 93 Si teal hatch..
so i offered a trade to see what he'd say and he said sure...

basically all i wanna know is...anyone who has gone from an EK to an EG ..have they regretted it???...better off now then before??? or just oh well

the only reason i'm leaning towards this is...sunroof...power stuff....differnt color...

dont be fooled by all the power options. the best power option available (power windows) isnt even on an si hatch. yes they are interchangable as hell which is sweet. but after owning 9 eg hatches and having everything from a d16z6-b18b-b18cR in one, ive made the switch to an ek and i dont regret it a bit. any of those motors will swap in and all of the suspension works too. just takes a little more time/skill to get it. its a matter of taste. i loved my hatches but now i have a 99 coupe and i love it. especially the power windows, although i did put oem power windows in my last hatch https://honda-tech.com/forums/images...s/emsmilep.gif

now i went from a EJ8 to my EG hatch.. i dont regret it at all!! but ive put alot more money, time and effort. i never put a swap in the coupe or full coilovers or build it for track ab/use...

now some of the nuts and bolts are different but you get used to it. and now i dont have power options and then i did.. but you have to sacrifice something to get a lot in my case.
