My ******** of a friend did a botched install of my skunk2 ss, and I have a few left over washers, and hella play going to 5th or R.

I would like to see the correct/optimal pattern of the washers in relation to the bolt going through the linkage, is this possible?

I'm gonna do it myself at my other friend's shop, so I'd like perfection or close to it, thanks for your help, and yes I did search

Yah Short shifters honestly are just a big pain, i installed mine myself and have the same problem! I thought i'd like it and i do like the close shifts but i have to say my b/f is right about them, they suck and OEM is the way to go... mine gets stuck now and its only getting worse!!!

I had the same problem with mine. I was just too lazy to put two of the washers on and it was too sloppy for me. I put every washer on that was provided and now it shifts like butter. Put the washers and you wont regret it.

i did mine with the energy bushing kit and i feel like im shifting in a corvette!! i dont know if you all have driven a new 6 speed corvette but their shifter is smoooooth

Yea bro I want to, I just don't know which side to put which on, I have two washers of different thickness.

I know what issue you are talking about which requires bushings, but mine does not. Its the shifter itself having more space on the bolt which holds it to the linkage, not the shifter assembly itself, thus not subject to needing the bushings.

Yes kaiba, I know it seems like a stupid question, but I'd like a better idea so I can have my shifter in properly, not have to keep playing with it

look at the stock shifter i believe it protrudes to the passenger side a little so thats where i washers go. it could be the drivers side i dont remember....just look at the stock shifter you will understadn
