my 92 cx is stripped from the front seats back....but its only the carpet and the rear seats and ****....i dont have the side panels of the hatch taken off yet, i was wondering if i could take off all that paneling and have it still look clean from the front seats up.....like, are there any peices on the side that would extend into the front?

Off the top of my head i would only say that the side quarter panel makes up part of the door trim but thats about it. It makes up the middle trim between rubber and the plastic running board type piece at the bottom of the door. Of course I stripped my car so long ago I cant even remember what interior looked like

Me too. I stipped it bare except for the front seats and up. I think it looks pretty clean, but then again I vacumm back there

i have a couple friends with the back half of their coupe/hatch stripped. looks fine. they removed everything except for the headliner.

So far I have stripped everything out of the back of my hatch. Nothing extends into the front except the carpet and the headliner.

Actually I wouldn't have mine stripped out so much had I not repainted the insides base/clear, because my car looked like crap underneath the plastic panels, etc.

Not sayign your will, but Honda does tend to not put enough paint on the insides where they know carpet and plastic will cover it up after assembly.

You're right Tom...Honda doesn't like to paint the interior all the way!

I just repainted my interior Suzuka Blue (the exterior should be painted in a day or so) but Tom is right. Sanding down that interior was easy- I could almost just wash off whatever paint was there with soap and water
