People with a complete 00 Civic Si front suspension on their 96-00 Dx
I just bought a complete 00 Civic Si front suspension (ie. Front LCAs, forks, swaybar and endlinks). I might be installing it over the weekend, and I was wondering if someone that has already installed this setup could give me some advice. I tried searching but didn't find much. If you guys have any links to nice write up with pics that would be great.
thanks.
thanks.

Umm...I hope you didn't pay much for it. It's going to sit higher than yours and isn't a great suspension to begin with.

Stiffer spring rates to handle the increased weight of the car will make the car sit higher. I know for a fact the SI springs are taller as I had a DX and an SI shock assembly side by side last week.

maybe I misslead you....I don't have the Si springs or shocks. I have skunk2 coil-overs with dx shocks right now. I just bought the si front LCAs, forks and swaybar with endlinks only...what do you think about this set up?

hope you have a rear sway, because just a front sway will induce wayyyyyy too much understeer.

I think you need to ditch the OEM shocks and get Tokico Illuminas or Koni Sports, otherwise you're going to be bouncing around town wondering why you reused stock shocks.

I've got stock shocks with my RS*R springs and it rides pretty damn well. I haven't had the time or money to go pick up some new shocks yet.

Skunk2 coilover spring rates are 500f/400r.
RS*R spring rates are 242f/168r for the lowering springs and 341f/235r for the race springs.
They are not even close.

Very true. Those Skunk2 Coils ARE going to blow your stock shocks in a hurry.

I had this set up on my 97 dx with apex n1 dampers and a 23mm rear sway. It kicked ***. Youll love it.
