Is the PCV hole causing idle problems???
I have been having low idle problems. I just realized that the valve cover on my 95 b18b was changed to a newer style cover and has a PCV valve hole. However, other 95 b18bs dont have this hole and right now i have a PCV valve in there but the end of the hose is attached to nothing, its just sittin there. Also how would i plug this up if it isnt needed. Pic of engine is below:

yea sorry bout that, i dont have one right now. If you look directly above where the white spot is on the valve cover you'll see a darker black spot. That is the hole for the PCV valve, I have since put a PCV valve in there but the other end of the hose is just floating

PCV systems have to be enclosed in order for the car to idle correctly, so I'd say you should at least seal the tube that's "hanging" if you want your car to run well.

Re: (Archidictus)
ok, i think i'll just try to pinch it off and see if it makes a difference. Anyone know what the PCV system consists of then on a 95 B18b if there isnt suposed to be a hole on the valve cover??

Re: (BDogggUT34)
there is suposed to be a hole in the intake manifold on top where the throttle body is.just right after it. you could hook up a vaccume guage and check for a leak which if there is one than it would probably be the valve problem.
