PasswordJDM EK OEM Foglights and OEM Style Aftermarket.. difference?
Hey guys,
I am about to purchase a set of fogs for my Ek and was wondering if there are any differences between:
http://www.passwordjdm.com/pro...D=253 for $150
and
http://www.passwordjdm.com/pro...D=253 for $450
I mean they look exactly the same to me.. Has anyone purchased the cheaper ones? What difference would I expect to find between 2 sets? Hows the fitment?
I just want to mention money is not an issue. I just dont want to get the aftermarket ones and not having them fit correct.
Thanks!

Difference is prolly just JDM versus aftermarket JDM look.
It's like buying Coke or Generic soda, generic soda not on sale is 2 bucks per 12 yet coke is like 4.50 per 12.

the difference is rare oem quality and aftermarket quality...
the jdm ones are getting harder and harder to find. Supply vs demand makes for high prices. password knows this, so they started making copy parts of foglights, side mouldings etc.
I personally have a set of the aftermarket lights. Fittment was perfect so no worries there. I've seen, that the oems put out a brighter beam of light. And my relay went bad after like 3 months. Radio Shack sells them though so... I think even w/ less light and buying a new relay... they're still worth it.
I'll never pay $450 But I could give two ***** less what's jdm. It's a fuggin foglight regardless of what language they speek.

if money is not a factor i would personally get oem. not for fitment issues or design issues. it boils down to personal preference. and also having to sell them later on will gain you more than half of what you spent on them... you will never get that with the fakes.
look at my sig... i wont even consider fake fog covers... it comes down to preference.
good luck.

From my experience with 92-95 2dr foglights, the major difference will be the wiring harness.
My only experience with 99-00 foglights are my cousin's Raybrigs which I installed a few days ago. His say Raybrig across the lens, but he said they are not real JDM OEM foglights, that they were just OEM style foglights, I do know he got them cheap (less than $100 IIRC).
I have a question about the 99-00 foglight switch...does the foglight symbol on the switch light up at night? On my cousin's set, the symbol is painted on, and the only thing that lights up is the green LED indicator when the foglights are turned on.
