only time i could see wanting the double sided taped ones is for example..
some egs have side moldings. and some dont.. so to put side moldings in either drill the holes or tape it...

If your car came with sidemoldings then get the clip on ones. If yours didn't, then get taped.

or you can get oem and dont have to worry about fake *** taiwan made side moldings which WILL fall apart after 2 months of having them

The one with clip are Honda's. The one with tape are from Password:JDM.
The real purpose of this is just like john666 said.
