Password jdm Hood Dampers
hey guys I was looking to get Password Jdm hood dampers for my 99 Civic. For some reason Password jdm doesn't offer dampers for the 96-00 Civic anymore. Do any of the other kits they offer for a different year civic or integra fit properly onto my car?
thanks for the help guys!

Go to a junk yard and get yourself a set of Celica dampers for 10 bucks and do some minor 5 minute fab. and your all set. A friend of mine did that for his 98 Ek works perfectly.

thanks that has no use to the question in the post. Im looking to clean up my engine bay so this would be a nice addition to it, plus it is much nicer than having to set the hood up urself. i will have to check on those celica ones first before i shell out like 100 bux. thanks for the hlp guys. any more ideas/info>?

^^^ I agree it is nice to have. Especially since the stupid plastic clip that holds the hood prop in place is prone to breaking.

Re: Password jdm Hood Dampers
just an FYI though, if you're running a CF hood, only use 1 damper to open and close the hood. and if you close it, push down close to the hinge your damper is attached to.
once open, you can attach the otherside of the damper and your CF hood will stay open without flexing or bowing down to one side.

i just talked to Brad at PWJDM the other day and he said they will no longer be making hood dampers so once the ones they have now are gone, they're gone.

Re: Password jdm Hood Dampers
if you're desperate to get the PWJDM ones, i have a password JDM hood damper for sale in my for sale thread. i bought a pair and one broke on the threads on the end when i closed the hood... as a result i have one left. if you can find another one to go with it, and the brackets and fender bolts you need to install it, it'll work. it's honestly brand new, it never even left the driveway on the car. lol
