painting emblem help plz
i want to paint my honda "H" "Civic" "EX" emblems to match the car.
but i dont know how to cleanly take any of them off, i'm sure the "EX" and "CIVIC" are held on with adhesive tape.
but how do i go about the "H" emblem on the front and rear how do i get around the pin clips behind the emblems? i dont want to gouge my paint like some punka$$ with a screwdriver when they steal em.
also any advice on reinstalling them too?
im looking to get it to look like this

goo gone/plastic scraper. Don't leave goo gone on too long. Didn't hurt my paint. Painting them the same color as the car though? Sounds ugly IMO.

is it really that hard..? most honda signs seems to be easily taken off by hand. well, atleast to my friend that thinks it's a prank to yank off my honda sign!

To take them off wait for a really hot day or use a heatgun or hair dryer...heat the emblem up and use fishing line to "peel" it off. dont use a screwdriver or anything metal cause its easy to scrath it. to get the residue off I'd recommend Denatured Alcohol...found and Lowes or Home Depot...Ive tried other stuff and Denatured Alcohol works best. Just put some on a paper towel or rag and hold it on there to loosen it and use your fingernail to get it off. For the emblem get high grit sand paper...1500 or 2000 and dip the paper in some water and sand off all the chrome. A lil adhesive promoter and paint and you're set. Oh but make sure you scrape the residue off the back. then stick it back on using something like 3M tape...most of this stuff can be found at any auto parts store.
Or...Buy a balck Chrome kit from Majestic Honda or somewhere else.
