Default painting dx hatchback

the guy said if he paints the door handles mirrors side moldings and side skrits he cant warranty the car anymore becuase it will chip in a week?..is this true or is he just bullshitting me?

It is harder to get the paint to stick to those pieces and he must've had an 'experience' with it before. I know I had mine painted before and they chipped eventually. But a competent painter should be able to do it right. If it's gonna void the warranty, I would just leave it black.

Don't get a paintjob without SOME kind of warranty, you will regret it. I've never heard of those thing voiding a warranty, if anything most shops would just charge you more money.......

Paint doesnt wana stick to plastic very much ... brothers mustang was in an accident and now the whole bumper is chipping and flaking off ... they guy is trying to say he hit something and wont fix it ...

no warranty...then its prolly shaddy work.

find a shop that will warranty their work...even if it costs more..hold out and pay the $$$...you'll be alot better off in the long haul
