Painting a Bumper....
I have a crack in my OEM bumper and I just got me a new one to replace it. I called up a local paint shop and they want $150 to paint it for me. Is that a good price? I've never had just one piece painted before and wanted to know if that's a decent price. I'm in Flushing, NY.

yeah it might seem much but from your discription you said you have cracks in the bumper which is kinda like spider webs if iam thinkin right,,,,,,,, the paint has to be removed back until that is eliminated and then it has to most likely be blended into the hood and fender so that it matches correctly so whats where most of the money is going for the time spent on blending and clearcoating the whole hood and most likely one fender if it gets to that point,,,,,,, you might wanna ask the shop what is involed in the process and then see if you wanna get any chips or anything removed from the hood any other parts they have to paint during this

sounds like a good price to me. i worked at a body shop before the only thing there going to do is color match your bumper to your fenders, there not going to blend anything, if they were going to blend it would cost we'll over $150. its going to cost $70 alone in materials and then the labor so its a good price.
