Looks awesome. I'd do mine too if everything else underneath my hood wasn't so ugly.

Looks good dood....fawk anyone who has something different to say. You did it yourself which is more then half the people can say on this site. They like to trash peoples DIY when they cant pump gas.

1. Take the valve cover off
2. Cover the Valvetrain with a cloth or something(spare valve cover works best. duh)
3. Remove Valve Cover Gasket and Spark Plug rubber rings inside the valvecover
4. Douse the Cover in Paint Stripper
5. Wash away and repeat until everything is gone
6. Spray with High Heat Primer. Lots of misty like coats
7. Spray with High Heat Paint. Lots of Misty like coats. Don't RUSH
8. Have a beer and pat your self of the back guy.

Optional:

9. Use a dremel to strip the paint off the Emblem/Honda/Vtec raised points once the paint has fully dried n solidifed.

Peice o cake.

If it's a 5th gen (92-95) then... I BELIEVE, only the 94-95 had "vtec" printed on the valve covers and the 92-93 just had "Honda" and the "H" on them... someone correct me if I am wrong

Also, has anyone tried painting a little around the letters (including the letters) one color, let them dry, tape them off and paint the valvecover another color to get the 2-Tone affect like "bad gsr" was talking about?

My 96 civic is a vtec but it doesn't say it on the valve cover. However, I believe that all the other EX's from 97-00 had VTEC on the vavle cover.

I doubt you ever driven, or even rode shotgun in a turbo D before... have you? Don't make this into a D vs B etc. thread. please.
