Painted Lights

Re: Painted Lights (jadugartir)
why would u want to paint them blue?
To break the sealant, you can either bake them at 200 degrees for 10 minutes, or take a high power blow dryer and do the same. After that peel them apart and paint the inside to your desire.(what we did for a buddies subaru headlights) i assume it works the same for both....

And how does that help? Either contribute techincal content or don't bother posting.
And before you try to flip out. I'm a moderator. Its my job to tell people how to conduct themselves around here.
To answer the original question, I've never done taillights, but you can pop your headlights apart like the first answer you got was. Always try to bake on a low temp and then pry apart with screwdrivers or something. Lower temps will soften up the glue that holds the housings to the lenses on the lights, but won't melt or deform them.

Lol! You're painting your tail lights blue, it doesn't belong and is rice all the same.
What part of the taillights are you painting anyway?! You do realize that changing the color of your tail lights is illegal if the brake lights are not red, turn signals are not amber, and reverse lights not white correct? You're the kind of person who makes posts on here wondering why you got pulled over just because you painted something you shouldn't have.

Some Volvos have white turns. Depending on the state your turns can be white, amber or red.
