pads squeeling, front or rear?
does the e-brake control the front brakes at all....my brakes are starting to squeel and if i pull the e-brake up slightly it goes away for a bit..
question is could it be my front pads at all or do i need to just replace the rear pads?

it could be your pads are low or your pads are stuck in the caliper.
if your pads are not low then remove the pads and clean them up and also clean the caliper and shims.

dont know. when we put new pads in we clean the shims and put a little copper grease on the back of the pads and the top and bottom of the pads where they sit in the calipers. it dose not take much for the pads to get stuck which is what i think your problem is.

Drums or disks? I'm assuming disk since you said rear pads.
The E-brake works the rear brakes, so if by using it the squeal goes away, that's probably where the problem lies.
