P75 running my b18b1 like garbage. need some suggestions
I posted this awhile ago but never got a answer maybe someone can help me. I did a swap a year ago. 1995 B18b1 into a 95 ej2. Heres the details. I have a P75 ecu, and a stock P06. At first i was using a PR4, the car ran like ****, idled bad, stalled out got bad gas mileage so i tossed it. I used the P06 for a long time and it ran perfect with it, the only thing that sucks is a lower rev cut out. I did a milage check and i was getting about 32 mpg with the p06 ecu.
Recently i got a p75 obd1 ecu from a friend to try out and it is having some of the same problems. at a cold start the car revs up and down from like 1,300 to 1,700 and will continue to do so till engine is warm. I can tell its running way to rich, i can smell gas, haven't checked the plugs yet. But i did a mileage check and im getting around 25 mpg. that dosen't seem right at all for a bone stock LS besides all the bolt ons. Everything else has been changed, i did all the normal tune up parts so its got to be a ecu problem. is there something i missed during the swap that would make it run like crap with the right ecu for it. I need to figure this out though its driving me nuts and im going turbo soon and this is my only problem with the car. thanks!

try unpluging your MAP sensor while your car is on. if your car stays on then you need a new one but if it shuts off then its good. you have a valcuum leak somewhere. when you cleaned the iacv did you replace the gasket or used any kind of sealant?

yea i used some rtv. i don;t understand how i could have a bad map sensor when the car runs perfect with 1 ecu but not with another. i'll try that though, i do have another map sensor laying around.

Re: (fitbmx86)
you know i did they the same i had a p06 from a del-sol and i put the pr4 in my 94 ex coupe and I used to get about 225 to a full tank as 2 the pr4 i only get like 180 to a full tank i know the fuel curve is diffrent but im not a genius when it comes to the cpu fuel curves for both cars and my motor is 100 percent bone stock all the way to the exhast
ohh and by the way my map sensor is new so i dont think that is the problem
