p30 ecu killing my performance....
i dont post here much but id figure you guys might offer some comments...
i have a 94 vx hatch with a b16a2. i just did the swap about 3 weeks ago. got the knock sensor wired and the 0-2 sensor wired. im still throwing a code for the 0-2 sensor. maybe its bad?
well at any rate i took the car to the track. i just left the 0-2 sensor disconnected because it wasnt working anyway. found out my p30 ecu that i got with my swap has like 3 aftermarket chips in it. it still runs ok but its rich.
here are my times
1/4 mile 15.8 @87mph
1/8 mile 10.03 @71mph
R/T .0705
60 ft 2.35
the car feels like it falls on its face up top rpm....im thinking the ecu is just dumping gas. i know my car is good for mid 14's
i have a p28 that i am putting in. hopefully it will fix it

check the timing first, as most programs or copies of well known brands, always run more ignition timing. this can cause detonation and possibly knock sensor retarting the timing even further, it also means running pig rich.
p30 ecm in stock form is pretty good, to convert yours back simply disconnect J1 jumper (easiest way to make it stock (not all ecus, as some came with external roms))
p28 will run lean and will have too low of a redline.

my p28 that i am getting has been chipped for 9000 rpm redline and fuel and timing maps changed for the b16. also has 5800 vtec redline and speed limiter removed
