You have a y8 head with a OBD-0 dist (get ried of that) The came gear was probably used to work with a mini me of some sort.
That is a y8 head because i was working on one today and its stamped P2J-3. P2E is y7.
If the 95 is infact the year of the motor then it came out of a 96 EX. Motors are 1 year older then cars. But i doubt thats what that 95 is for.

Re: P2J-3 95 D15B or D16y8? (Luserkid)
i think you meant the P2F's are the y7's because my y7 head has the P2F-HA-3 with a 9/7...
anywho...if we can assume the the year of the head is actually one year older then what it should be, then the head would be a Y8 then i guess...that way the cam gear makes sense...the distributor and intake manifold makes sense because the guy had it in an OBD0 vehicle.
I just hope im right...or we all are...so using the D16z6 distributor would be a problem with having the bolts line up correctly?
Also, i wanted to get all the correct info because im having the head milled and compression tested soon...thus this way i know what to have it milled at and where the compression should be

So which vtec solenoid do you used. My customer just brought a d15b and it just have two bolt for the vtec solenoid not like the standard 3 bolts sohc vtec solenoid. Is it a special vtec solenoid?

First off, don't bump a 7 year old dead thread. Second off, read the links already provided in this thread. Third off, don't thread jack. The answer to your question can be found on this very page.
