p28 ecu problem-code 1

Default p28 ecu problem-code 1

I need some advice. I'm running a d16z6 head/d16y7 block in my eg. I pulled my check engine codes and it is throwing code 1(for the ecu) and code 19(auto tranny lock solenoid i think). The chassis is a 1995 cx. I know that I did the 4 wire o2 conversion right. I don't understand why it is throwing a code 1. I expected the code 19 because it is a auto ecu in a 5 speed car (given). I have to keep the fp at around 70 psi to keep the car running. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Engine Mods-
d16z6/d16y7 minime (stock head and block)
stock cx tranny
skunk2 intake manifold
aem rail, regulator, fuel filter
255 lph bbk fuel pump
apexi gt spec header, ws exhaust
hondata intake manifold gasket
port matched throttle body
act stage 1 clutch kit
denso iridium plugs
msd wires, cap, coil, sci ignition

What would cause the ecu to throw a code 1? What do you recommend? Bigger injectors? 5 speed ecu? Engine management? The car smokes in vtec. Black smoke. The injectors are 97 dx injectors with clips.

Did you convert the P28 from auto to manual? I believe you have to desolder something...

no. just plugged it in after i did the vtec conversion. the only thing that i can think is that the ecu might be bad. if it was bad, it wouldn't run right?
