Default P28 ecu?

im running a dx motor, all stock with intake. a friend of mines has a extra P28 and can lend me it to play around with for a bit or so. im more of a saving gas kind of person, since gas prices are so high, but he says its going to give my b7 more power because i can rev higher without hitting rev limiter earlier with the P28.

will the P28 waste more gas on normal driving? or will it only waste more gas on the high rpms because of the rev limiter setting at a higher rpm? thanks..

oh yea i get about 37 mpg with some hard acceleration once in a while

You're friend is an idiot. Use your stock ECU and leave it at that.

If you want to use fuel maps that ARENT for your car and rev your car higher than it was designed to and possibly destroy your head/valvetrain/pistons, then using that p28 is an awesome idea.
