Default P28 conversion question

When converting an auto p28 to a manual, does it matter the diameter of wire you use to bridge the one resistor? Obviously I'd use something close to the size of the wire on the resistors. (Aka. could I use a paper clip or something?)

To give you an idea why the wire size is not all that critical, if I recall those are the quarter amp resistors. The wire only needs to be able to handle a maximum of 250 milliamps. The wire of the resistor can handle multiple amps of current unlike the resistor itself.

I believe even 20 gauge wire can handle at least a couple of amps of current.

As seen here:https://www.engineeringtoolbox.com/w...ges-d_419.html

Single core copper 24 gauge handles 3.5 amps. The wire only needs to handle 1/4 amp.

Ok thanks, I said paper clip but I'll just use some single strand low volt house wire.

The current is tiny. Get some stranded wire such as lamp cord and unravel it and use one of the small strands inside. Don't try to use wire that is not copper, it doesn't solder well.
