I haber an EG coupe and I also have a b16 from a 2000 SI that also came with the engine Ive heard some conflicting info some ppl are saying use the ecu designed for that engine some are saying chip the p28 whats the deal?

The ecu from that engine (or an obd1 equivalent) will give you stock maps.
A chipped ecu will give you custom maps and the ability to tune the maps to gain the most reliability/power. Chipping/tuning is a must for boost and most serious stuff.

the motor is designed for a p30 but if u use a p28 u need to chip it because a p28 is for a single overhead cam motor.I have a b16 and I had to use a p28 (unchipped) for a while untill I got my p30 it made a considerable difference. but nevertheless u can use the (unchipped) p28 if u have to but chip it or get the rt ecu

any1 know if the Dizzy, Fuel rail and injectors with work with B16, I just got it and Im having to go to auto part store tomorrow and getting everything that wont swap with the b
