Default P0700 & p0715 on y8

Im throwing codes P0700 (Transmission Control System Malfunction) and P0715 (Input/Turbine Speed Sensor Circuit Malfunction)

does any 1 know how to fix this problem?
engine and tranny have about 120,xxx on them

EDIT: i got these codes twice. once was when i was on the freeway and the second time was when i was just on the streets. the first time i cleared it to see if it would come back on and for a while it didnt. but then the damn CEL came on.

P0700 is just a code that tell PCM that your have a trans related DTC. Your P0715 is your code you need to fix. Assuming your car is stock! Do you have any harsh shifting problems? There is a Service Bulletin about harsh shifting and honda says to flush the trans and replace the linear solenoid 28250-P4R-315, that is honda part number. From my experience anytime we get that code, we have ended up putting a honda reman trans in the car. Hope this helps you, if you are curious the service bulletin is 00-012. Good luck!

thank you so FREAKING much! well my car is automatic and sometimes when i stop and go it feels as if its manual and im trying to drive it on 3rd gear. REAL slow. and some times it doesnt go to 4th gear.
can you also explain what PCM and DTC mean.
and how do i fix the P0715

EDIT: and where is the linear solenoid? im not very good with transmition stuff. lol
and my car is pretty much stock other than the regulars. h/e/i

Hey, glad I could help. DTC- Diagnostic Trouble Code ( commonly referred to as a code here on HT ) PCM- Powertrain Control Module ( same as ECM,ECU,Computer,Brain, people call them many things, most commonly PCM or ECU ) Now, if if feels like a manual, then more than likley your trans is slipping. Your linear solenoid could definatley affect shift patterns. If I were you I would skip all the BS and price a trans or do a 5sp conversion, whichever is more cost effective. I'd recommend taking your car to Honda Dealership and letting them flush your trans with a Honda flush machine, and see if that improves your situation. The linear solenoid is #32 in the picture. http://www.hondaautomotiveparts.com/...ISSION+HOUSING
Hope that helps!

its the transmission failure code. This is real problem considering your car is automatic and talking to the transmission is vital to driving the car (I have the code on my converted car atm since im running the auto ecu, but it doesnt really do **** because i shift it lol).

but since you are throwing both of those codes at the same time, you should check the 3rd plug in your ECU (i think its the bigger grey one next to the blue one). Or check your wiring harness as both of the codes come on at the same time (correct?) and they are both on that piece of the harness.

you were more than just help! you are my savior! first one to reply after many bumps!
i actually hear ALOT about majestic honda so i checked it out and almost fainted when i saw the price for the linear solenoid. if i buy it, will the transmition have to be removed and lifted up so it can be installed? and can i go somewhere else to get the complete tranny flushed since the STEALERship tends to steal people
I would TOTALY in a heart beat do a auto to manual swap but i dont have the money. also my mom uses my car since my brother stole my dads car and totaled it so we are now stuck with 2 cars. and my mom cant drive standard

well like im the ONLY one in my family that know how to drive a manual car. i have told them i would teach them but they say they dont feel like shifting. they just wanna put it on gear and drive. (LAZY!!!!) also they said they got me a automatic car in case **** happens and they need my car a.s.a.p. so auto to manual swap wont happen UNTIL i get my GSR swap. cuz i am NOT about to have an auto tranny on a GSR

will i have to remove the tranny to install the linear solenoid?
or can i just remove the bumper and install it when the tranny is still on?

im pretty sure you can leave the tranny on. You just have to make it fit lol.

also that sux. My dad made me get a auto car because it was "easier to drive", I hated it being auto every day. So I swapped it into manual. The flip side is that my dad used to build hot rods and he can drive stick, along with basically all my other relatives haha.

sweet! i was hoping that i didnt have to remove the tranny! i will check out how much clearance i have to work with.
and yea. my dad bought me a damn auto. and what i dont get is when we were test driving cars, to find one that i liked, i drove a manual with a b16b swap on it and i LOVED it! it sounded SOOO nice and vtec hit PERFECTLY. but i guess cuz i hit vtec, my dad didnt want me doing that (hitting 4500rpm+, he doesnt know what vtec is) so he got me an automatic one day when i was at work. and he dropped it off at my work. but yea

but this **** is bugging the hell out of me! stupid **** wont go to 4th gear sometimes!
i was on the damn 10 freeway during rush hour and when it cleared up it was switching gears all perfectly and then when it should of gone to 4th, it stayed in 3rd! i drove over 40 miles on 3rd gear on the freeway at 3500-4500rpm! thats A LOT of gas wasted!
