P0420 CODE HELP....
I have a 1998 Honda civic EX with 14x,xxx miles I bought a code reader from AutoZone since some new stupid California law will not allow them to rent them out anymore. Anyways the code reader says it’s a P0420 code bank 1. I don’t know what the fix would be can someone point me in the right direction. Thanks

You have either got a bad converter, O2 sensor, clogged fuel filter, or air filter. Before I'd buy a converter you need to check for the cheaper fixes than a exspensive converter.

Re: P0420 CODE HELP.... (150sol)
I think it’s the cat because last year I smoged it and it barely passed the guy said I will probably need one in a year or so. I think that I will replace the other stuff and get a cat if needed. Thanks for the help…..
