Default P0141 CEL

I have a 96 CX HB with a B18C1.

With my OBD2 ECU, I get code P0141, which is the O2 Sensor Heater Circuit Malfunction (Bank 1 Sensor 2), basically, my after cat o2 sensor.

I'm about to get my car bar'd, and am going to be using a OBD1 ecu after that, so does anyone know of a fix for this? I don't want to get a new o2 sensor for just one day at the ref's.

I don't know if an O2 sim would work, since it's not a problem with the sensor maybe, but a problem with the heater circuit?

Thanks guys.
