Oxygen Sensor Wire Extension Question
Is it as simple as it seems? Just cut them and solder or crimp new wires that are longer? Just making sure before I hack at anything...

Re: Oxygen Sensor Wire Extension Question (Mr. ThunderLips)
yes you could do it that way. Is it for a four wire? I found a site a while back and it cross-referenced 10-15 other bosch o2 sensors with the OEM style plug on them. I went to PepBoys and I was sure they had to stock one out of the 15 and I got it. It cost around $60./

What exactly did you buy? A new sensor altogether? Just with longer wires?

Re: Oxygen Sensor Wire Extension Question (Mr. ThunderLips)
I bought a new sensor because my old one was bad. I guess pepboys has a problem stocking the stock GSR ones so I had to cross reference parts. I didn't want to solder the wires of a universal 4 wire sensor because I wanted the OEM plugs on it.

Re: Oxygen Sensor Wire Extension Question (BCRUZ)
I'm doing a real low-budget mod here...So spending $60 bucks is slightly counter productive. I just want to extend the wires about one foot...Do you think that will be a problem or not?

No, one foot should not have any affect on it. Just be sure you dont mix up the wires. And, you can always try and go to a junk yard and rip one out so u can use that wiring.

Re: Oxygen Sensor Wire Extension Question (Hybrid95CivicEX)
I had to extend all 4 wires for my o2 sensor. I just cut those bitches off and used a non-solder crimp connector to attach a 18gauge wire to the middle section
