Default Overtorqued Bolt that goes into Transmission

So I've been driving my car for the past few weeks a notive a sort of creaking sound. I passed it off as a loose exhaust or something, but after messing around under the car today, I now know what it is...

Theres a trailing arm that runs under the B16 exhaust header, from the block to the transmission. The bolt runs thru the arm and into the tranny. Still with me?

Well, the bolt that goes thru the arm and into the tranny on my car is MISSING. After feeling around, I'm sure the bolt was overtorqued by the shop and fell out, and now the threads on the tranny are messed up. This explains why I was hearing the creaking noise everytime I hit a bump... its the tranny moving slightly I suppose...

Is this fixable? How?

Thanks in advance.

Chris

i say if the threads are messed up the only way you can fix it is tapping the hole again. it's fixable by all means

I talked to a friend that owns a local shop and he said that half the cars that come thru his bays are missing that brace anyways. Think any harm will come in not having it? I'll probably get it fixed sometime in the future...
