overheating problems
The car is a Honda Civic LX. 1996.
Latly the car has been overheating and also while its in park while the engine is running there is consistant surges of the engine reving on its own.
Radiator, as well as the lower and upper radiator hoses have been replaced.
Two days after that there is a U shaped hose right behind the engine block which sprung a leak and was spitting coolant everywhere. I replaced it with some heating hose from autozone but it doesnt have the bend to it so I think that I have to get a specific hose that doesnt bend for it. I just dont know what it is called. the hose that is. Could anyone help me out and explain to me what the hell it is? I havent worked on these cars before. Any help would be so much appreciated.

Re: (grom)
Its called an upper radiator hose. you can get it at a honda dealer near you
Honestly if you have repalced your radiator. You might want to think about replacing your thermostat. Thats really the only explanation for overheating.

Re: (littleblue)
I thought the radiator hoses run from the radiator to the block. I already replaced those. This is a shorter u shaped hose right behind the block and what looks like to maybe be connected to a silver thing, maybe the heater core.
Thank you for the reply
