Overheating problem help
Three weeks ago I put a Y7 head on my d15b7, it ran but the timing belt was off one tooth. I fixed the timing last week and the day later it started overheating. I got a new thermostat and fan relay. Now I can drive it with out it overheating, but if I drive it hard it overheats. The compression is higher than stock with the Y7 head (10.5:1), I was thinking thats were the heat was coming from. Do i just need to get a DOHC Del Sol radiator? Its got the small single core radiator in it know.

when you hooked all the coolant lines back up, are you sure they are all going to the right places? you might want to compare to another civic and check.

Re: Overheating problem help (civic dx)
I'm not sure if I can describe it's location, but I'll do my best. It should be located right around the inlet hose to the engine block. I can't really tell you cause, I don't have my manual with me, friend borrowed it and has not returned it to me yet. But you can alway go down to a Honda dealereship and see if they can help you, the service technicians/people at Honda are usually pretty helpful. Or ask the parts guy, explain to him your problem and ask him if there is anyone that can help you locate the problem. If not go buy a service manual. I hope this helps, if not let me know and I'll see what I can find out. Good luck!!!
