Overheating at Idle
I did a search, but never saw anything that addressed my specific case. Basically, my car is totally fine while I'm driving it, but if I idle in a parking lot for more than 5 minutes the temperature creeps up and up until it almost gets to the red mark.
Coolant is at proper level and level does not seem to be dropping or fluctuating, and I can't see any leaks. Fan comes on, but usually too late (once the needle has already climbed quite a bit). Any ideas what would be the culprit?

Re: Overheating at Idle (andy_sayers)
The fins in the radiator might be clogged. Blast the rad with a hose or pressure washer and see. Either that or you have a mother of an air pocket.
