Overheating!! B16 turbo HELP Needed.
Alright Guys Here is my problem.
I Never had any kind of overheating in my hatch before. Im using same Turbo parts, just a different motor. Full-Race Kit.
Here is the Problem:
When I take it out for a spin motor Hesitates a little. then goes.
Thats when the Temperature Goes up to H. I pop the hood and see the Resevior Canister Bubbling up like boiling water???? And the raditator Hose is Burning Hot.
Water does leak out of the Canister cap. (where you add water)
And the other thing is when i turn my heater on. Its blowing cool air????
The Top (Upper) Radiator Hose is burning HOT.
As for the Lower Hose (by the tranny) is still COLD/COOL???
Is this Normal???
I Replaced the Thermostat.
Water Pump seems to be good. 30K
Coolant is 50/50
Could it be the Heater Unit?

top-hot bottom-cool means something is messed up.
I think that means bad water-pump.
Wait for one of the honda-heads to come in here and give you the correct answer.
edit: Good job at finding the problem, though. Now its just to find out what needs to be replaced.

Coolant bubbles in the tank is a sign of a blown head gasket, lower cold radiator hose is a sign of a stuck thermostat. I'd check for oil in the coolant and vice versa then if that looks good replace the thermostat with a oem one.

thanks guys 4 the Ideas.
I got a chance to double check the radiator hose system.
It Seem that all of the hoses (when the car warms up) are warming up and getting hot Such as the firewall hoses, head hoses.
But only the lower hose it cold! I Disconnected the Lower Hose where the the thermostat is at. and the thermostat is closed. (this is w/the car running) w/the lower hose disconnected should'nt the thermostat be opening water out?
So what can it be?
Can there be some clogg in the system?
What are the chances of a Water Pump Falure?

its the thermostat ....if the lower hose is cool then it means your thermostat is not opening up ....replace thermostat with a new one

Did you try backflushing the radiaitor? It being clogged can also cause that.

New Symptoms:
Air Bubbles in the Water Resevoir.
Also w/Rad. Cap off. Water Level fills up & down, then when the rad. cap goes on and take off a min later. seems like air pressure comes out??
Can this be a Blown Headgaket?

Backflush means take the upper and lower hoses off, remove the radiator and spray water in the opposite direction that it normally flows. One you can remove any gunk that may be clogging the radiator and two you can see how well it flows and if there is a large blockage.
