Default overheating

i searched but didn't find much. temp gauge rises to about 3/4 only when at idle, but when moving the temp gauge goes back to normal. took it for another spin today and the overflow can was almost full and I had to top off the radiator. whats wrong? thermostat?

I agree w/1EK...it's most likely your thermostat. I live in the bay area and there is alot of traffic, I used to drive to work and when in bumper-bumper traffic my EG would heat up and all you have to do is turn on the heater and it would cool down, that is an easy way to test and see if it is the thermostat or not-brandOn
