can someone confirm this is the measurement of a shifter thread? how deep and how wide is it?

YES... its right.
As far as how deep and how wide? I have no idea what you mean. Its a thread form. Its specified in Machinery's Handbook and other reference guides. If you're looking for the length of the threads, I'd say about 1.25", but it wouldn't matter. If you're threading the lever, go longer than the threads in the **** and it'll bottom out, if you're tapping the ****, then just run a tap up it, its a blind hole and you can only go so far.
