Default OT: insurance question again.

anyone have any idea how much an insurance company will give me for a
94 civic ex
I had a swap in it, but the title still say that its an automatic civic
with ABS, 4 wheel disc, Sunroof,....
I looked up the Kelly blue book retail it was $8300

Maybe insurance co. have web sites where you can plug in the info. Try http://www.geico.com/ as an example. Swap or not, mods or not. I personally would not report it as added value because it would only increase cost/add risk, etc. Then changes how the rates are calculated.

The only thing I tell your insurance is a Alarm. Some company may give you a discount. (like mine, but I don't notice any reductions). It is my opinion that you should just insure it as stock. And take that chance. To date, I've spent a total of several thousands of dollars on mods and stereo stuff. None of it my insurance co. know about. I have a good rate, and don't want to change that.

If something does happen to your car, you may not be able to get the real value for it. They could always say, "you didn't tell us" about XYZ. Unlike Real Estate, adding on stuff does not always = to value. It just may be consider as risk.
