Orthia or CRV B20 motor? how do you tell the difference visually?
1. just want to see if anyone knows how to tell difference between a JDM Orthia b20 block from a JDM CRV b20 block? how can i tell?
(i have a 97 JDM b20 block, but i dont know if it came from an Orthia or CRV)
2. also, what head does an Orthia have?
(i know the CRV block comes with either P75 or P8R head)

thanks, just wondering if you know what head the 96-98 Step Wagon have?
(i noticed it has the higher compression ratio (9.2.1) according to your chart, but it has the 123 HP and 133 TORQUE resembling lower compression, just wondering if that is a typo on the chart?

thanks, so just to make sure...according to your chart...
96-98 step wagon has P8R head?
99-00 step wagon also has P8R head?
(since they both have higher compression of 9.6.1 and 9.2.1)

sorry, because now i am getting very curious....
if the 99-00 step wagon may have a p75 head w/ high compression (9.6.1), does that mean that there are some b20 motors with p75 head that also has higher compression?
(so... not only P8R heads come with higher compression, but some P75 head motors also have higher compression?)
thanks in advance!!!

That is actually not correct.
I know for a fact that the 1999 Model Honda Orthia was available with a P75 head which is a higher compression model, as i just installed one into my EK hatch.
I don't know if there is even a way to tell if there is a difference between the engine between the Orthia and the CRV? I'm thinking they are the same.

New? Not at all, it 1st came out in 1996 with 1.8L and the lower compression B20B, then it got revised with a newer look and more power in 1999. Last year of production was 2002. Many people have not heard of it because it came over seas only. It was based on an EK sedan chassis.

ha ha, its actually found underneath the hood of every North American model CRV in 1999 and 2000. Its design to help mid range torque needed to move a heavier vehicle 4cly suv.
Here's a pic of a local 2000 model crv
