Ordering a clutch tomorrow. Help me decide.
Im putting my car together this weeked. D16y7 with EX tranny. Im putting a y8 head on it as soon as I find one and I have a ZEX kit,I/H/E waiting to go on it. I cant decide what clutch to get. Im not sure if Im going to put the nitrous on or not so I dont want to waste the money on a heavy duty clutch if I dont need it. Which clutch is recomended? I had a ACT stage 3 on my ZC(too hardcore), and a ACT stage 2 on my LS/VTEC. Should I get another ACT stage 2, a stage 1? Or will an OEM replacement hold up even if I do put the nitrous on? If I didnt list the option you would choose, please tell me what you think I should get. Thanks.

I have a 6 puck on my ride. daily driven. takes a little to get used to it, but I love it. and no break in period for that clutch. (thats what i heard) I got a used act 6 puck and toda lightened flywheel for $300. jsut search around. it won't bust yoru budget.

6 pucks arent good for trannies when your not making that much power. I drove the ZC with stage 3 daily, it wasnt bad but I dont need that heavy of a clutch for sure.

yeah. true that. I was jsut saying I love my 6 puck. I guess if wouldn't really matter what clutch you got. just break it in good, and thats that. most generic clutch do have good clamping power. jsut search around a little. lighter flywheel will let you rev faster too. nice investment.

I've only ever used 2 clutches, stock and Centerforce DualFriction which was given to me with about 20,000 miles on it from a CRX/B16 swap.

OK, my friend gets the ACT for $212 and will get me one at that price. Is this a good deal? I need to know ASAP so he can get here tomorrow or the next day. Thanks.
