Thats what the stock tires are, or should be. But 205/50/15 will have a bit stronger sidewall but may buldge a little bit.
But Azenis come in 205/50/15 and thats probably the best performance tire in that size for the dollar.

205 for a larger contact patch.
50 for a shorter and stiffer sidewall.
205/50R15 will also have an smaller diameter than 195/55R15 meaning you will have a shorter final drive which should help in acceleration.

very marginal, wont even notice a differance.

it is less than a milimeter difference i think you wouldn't be able to tell ****.
go with a 205/50/15, great size basiclly the same size as stock, and it will be cheaper, stock replacement tires are really expensive cause tires companies know that normal drives don't want to change **** and will just go with what they have previous

I never said it would be dramatic increase in performance but it comes out to be a diameter difference of 9.5mm. Do the math, slammed_93_hatch. A reduced moment of inertia can't hurt, can it?

Sorry for the caps. This info was obtained from http://www.whalentire.com. Maybe it can help you your decision.
STOCK WHEEL WIDTH: 6.0"
STOCK TIRE SIZE: 195/55R15
DIAMETER: 23.4" SECTION WIDTH: 7.7" SIDEWALL HEIGHT: 4.2"
MINIMUM RIM WIDTH: 5.5" MAXIMUM RIM WIDTH: 7.0"
REVOLUTIONS PER MILE: 861
SELECTED TIRE SIZE:205/50R15
DIAMETER: 23.1" SECTION WIDTH: 8.1" SIDEWALL HEIGHT: 4.0"
MINIMUM RIM WIDTH: 5.5" MAXIMUM RIM WIDTH: 7.5"
REVOLUTIONS PER MILE: 875
IF YOU TRAVELED 60 MPH WITH THIS TIRE INSTALLED ON YOUR VEHICLE
YOUR SPEEDOMETER WOULD READ 61.0 MPH

Re: Opinions on tire size for 15"s (KRiS1)
I vote for 195/55/15 if your car came stock with 14" wheels. That's what I use. I really see no clear benefits to go 205/50/15 and slightly throw off your speedometer and odometer. I love my 195/55/15 Bridgestone Potenza RE010s. They've got mad grip and they NEVER squeal in hard cornering.
If your car came stock with 13" wheels, then get 205/50/15 or 195/50/15 because the stock 13" wheels have an overall smaller diameter so those tire sizes would be a perfect match.

Re: Opinions on tire size for 15"s (Tokyo_X-treme_Racer)
I have 195/55/15, and have had no problems. Seems that looks might play a greater role here, since the performance difference appears to be negligble. I do have quite a bit of sidewall, and the tires look fat, but I'm not sure opting for 205/50/15 will decrease the look that much.
BTW, I have run 195/55, on a Civic that came with 13'' wheels stock, and on a Civic that came with 14'' wheels stock, and saw no difference in performance with either.
