Default Opinions on switching from a 4 dr to a hatch

Ok here it goes. I have a 92 4 dr.

here's the motorhttp://www.imagestation.com/picture/sraid21/p3178c67af9bfc3399efd112a2ca4959b/fdb64e63.jpg
Here's the code

here's the interior

1 more pic

Here's the question. Should i switch to a hatch. I'm pretty much all about speed. Don't get my wrong it's a daily driver so i don't wanna strip it to metal and get all crazy like that. So i'm thinking can I switch everything I have here over to a hatch. I recently just bought some Rota slipstreams with azenis that are not in the pic and i'm getting a wilwood kit from fastbrakes put on as we speak. Should i switch to the hatch. I want to hopefully be in a high 13 with everything i have on a hatch.
I wanna know if i can switch all of this stuff over to the hatch.
I'm gonna put my whole motor which is a JDM b18c with LSD. I have basically every bolt on. I'm put my new rims with the tires. I'll switch the brake kit. I also have ITR seats that aren't in the pic but i can switch that over to. The only things that i would wanna buy that i don't have now is better suspension and a better exhaust.
The last thing is which hatch comes with power windows and power locks. If the only car that comes with this stuff is the Si then i'll have to forget about power.

I agree stay with the four door and post pics with the new rims. Which rims did you get?

Keep the sedan! swapped hatches are a dime a dozen, but you don't see too many swapped sedans

Oh yeah, and none of the hatches came with power door locks or windows. Most people get the whole doors off of the EX coupe and swap those onto the hatch to get power windows and locks.

Is that car dark green or is it black?

The only things i've changed since the pic that you see there are the seats. Now I have 2000 ITR front seats. I've got the rota slipstreams in flat black with the falken azenis, I am also getting a wilwood brake kit installed as we speak and I got pulleys for the motor.

Right now i'm not sure what to do. If I buy the hatch it will cost more because I would have to switch over the whole motor which i can't do myself
I would also have to switch the whole sound system that I have.
I could switch the tires, Mugen pedals and ITR seats.
Right now i'm probably in a mid to high 14. With a cx hatch I think i should be in a high 13. What do you guys think.
Plus for me to buy a hatch that's in good condition would cost about 2grand. Then i'll have to pay to swap motors. Then I would have to put the motor from the hatch into the 4 dr so i can sell it.

That car weighs less than the si hatch. They are still really light. You will most likely run mid 14's with a hatch, not 13's.

Keep the sedan.

if i get a hatch it will not be the SI. It weighs about the same as my car so that's pointless.

I dont see why you cannot go high 13's with the 4dr. Get some internal work and should get you in the 13's.

My goal is a low 13 when i'm done but if i get a hatch i think that goal will be much easier. Don't get me wrong i love my car it's awesome but you can only take a na motor so far and keep it reliable. If i swap motors i should be in the 13's right now

Dude!
Stay with the 4dr!
I've been debating the same question, as I'm looking for a new car.
I would kill for a white 92-95 Sedan EX 5spd. (unmodified or at least not a lot of rice on it)
I can't find one in my area though.
So I have also been debating getting a white hatchback any trim level.
I've also considered a white Del Sol.

But I say why go through the hassle when you could have one baddass car with the 4dr and be different. I vote stay with your current car and work on making it badass.

i guess i'm going back to the paint shop soon! i hate the color red, but in a short time this is the only color hatch i could find to put my motor into. and it's just too damn expensive to do a full color change

I need more of a reason to stay with the 4 dr just because it's origional. If i keep the car i'll still do the same things as i would with the hatch. My whole idea is a black car with black rims. I could do that with a sedan or a hatch but the hatch will always be much faster.
