Default Opinions on shocks/struts

Looking to buy some new shock for my em1. I got koni orange streets on it now. They all blew out in like 3 years. Kinda interested in kyb gr2/agx or maybe even some tokiko illuminas. Post opinions and comments or what you use on your car.

I usually use KYB brand shocks because I used them for years and they are great. For Koni they are great but sometimes pricey. The illuminas I have not used yet, but heard they are great. Go with what is in your budget. But KYB's work for me.

Koni Strt have warranty don't they? I would go with Koni Yellows if it's just shocks that you are replacing.

I believe the Skunk2 coilovers are non height adjustable. Since you originally have Koni Oranges, I would suggest Koni Yellow/Ground Control combo.

tokico blues ftw! cheap, affordable. might not have 5 way adjustability, but for a daily driver that you need to ride decent in, you can't beat the price.

no no. skunk2 makes a good set up, don't get me wrong. those are good. and hey, if thats in your budget, go for it! but don't look at it blindly though. there are several companies that offer a full coilover set up similar to that, at around the same price. d2, omni sports, even as stated above, a koni yellow/ ground control setup is well known and loved by most who have it.

yea my brother told me to get ground control...but then when i checked it out, it was like out of my budget...
because i have to change the car's clutch soon and i want to put full exhaust and header all before the end of february...
do u by any chance know if one of those non branded n1 style exhaust do the same job or not?

thats what i use. if your planning on boost, a 3" exhaust is 3" exhaust. it all comes down to what muffler and what sound you prefer. not to sound like a dick here, but maybe you should start a thread about your car, and what you want to do to it, and questions and what not. thread jacking isn't a great thing to do, lol.
