Opinions on this setup.
I have a B16A2 that took a dump so here is what we have planned.
-Re-hone the block.
-Port & polish the head
-Angled valve job on head
-CTR pistons
-ITR valvetrain
-Stock B16 rods
-CTR cams
-Chipped ECU
So?Opinions?
One other thing I was wondering is can you do a CTR crank into a B16A2 or should I just stick with doing a CTR N1 pulley?

Need more info,
What are your WHP goals?
NA or Turbo ?
Honda's come with angled valve jobs.
why P&P and only use stock rods ?
It's a good start, glad to see you asking before you spend the money.
Find a tuner in your area and begin to build a relationship with them.
Look in the Drag Racing forum and find one of the sop owners close to you.
Check out the sticky at the top of the Forced Induction forum, there are guy's that have a lot of knowledge that will be able to guide you.

Damn, with all the money you want to spend......why not just buy a bigger engine??
You can get a B18C short block for under $1000 if you look around, and you'll make more power.

x2^ I would highly recommend putting your built head on a GSR bottom end. More torque and more overall power.

Re: Opinions on this setup.
Thanks I appreciate the feedback, realisticly I want a reliable DD, that gets around 200whp. I have done some research and was initially going to go with CTR cams and CTR pistons but then I read and had feedback that the stock B16 V-train couldn't handle it and I should up to the ITR V-train that where that came from. I would like to build a true Honda all-motor and stick with all Honda parts but I feel like some times that could be the wrong direction when it comes to monetary input v. performance output. The reason I hadn't considered a B18C short block is because I was planning on working with what I had and I got to admit I'm attached to my motor. Also about using stock rods I hadn't really read anywhere that they should need to be replaced but I had a feeling they might and I was going to do CTR rods but I found out they won't fit. So please comments and questions are welcomed along with criticism. I'm starting to get the feeling that I should put the car down for a while and build it super clean over time and come out with a nasty little DD but it may take a little while even though I prefer to have it sooner. So please comment. Thanks again!!
