Default Opinions of Raven exhaust on 97 DX

Im thinking about getting a Raven exhaust, which they sell at Midas. They quoted me $300 for the universal muffler and to install it. The muffler a cylinder type straight through exhaust. Will I noice any increase in power or just a really loud car??

i wouldnt get it. a universal muffler would be like around 100-130, and then midas charges u for the so-called custom piping for about 100-120. so you would be better off buying the muffler elsewhere and letting them place it on for you. they rip you off on the mufflers. i had one on my 93 civic LX before i sold it. its just loud. nothing else.

Order on online from JDMHONDAPARTS.COM, they have those ES Mufflers. They look pretty dope and I heard they are good. Don't go buy a muffler named after a flying black bird. The "Raven" just sounds lame, go spend less and get more bang 4 the buck!

Heh, especially on a DX you won't notice ANY difference. That's why I ended up going with the EX head swap and turbo.

What in the world is a Raven exhaust? Don't go to Midas for stuff like that. Plus, it's pretty damn expensive for that POS...might as well go APEX'i axle back and get custom piping, same price, Japanese quality and you can make your DX perform 0.1 second better!

Is there any decent universal mufflers out there that sound decent? I mean like the Apex dunk, N1, or arospeed's? I had an arospeed dual DTM on my civic EX coupe and it was mad loud!! I wouldn't have it again.. So I guess what Im asking is full cat-back the way to go, or can you make universal systems work?
