Opinions Please..SOHC vs. DOHC
So yes im new to the honda world and this may be a stupid question... Im planning on building my car and am at a brick wall... Original plan was to use the SOHC D16y8 rebuild with the goodies and boost.. While reasearching all i needed to do my friend unfortunalty crashed his car and has now offered me his complete B16 swap with everything with around 100k on it for 900 bucks including the uninstalled boost setup minus the intercooler.... Question is do i stick with the SOHC or dive into the swap???

What's with people and their infatuation with the D-series motors? Sure they're great but if you had to pick between a B16A or a D16Z6 that are both reasonably priced...honestly...
Go B16 and boost it!

having driven the same car with a z6 and a b16, i'd go with the b16 anyday. especially for the price.
and you don't have to worry about building the block unless you plan on more then 300whp. do your homework and get a good tuner.

If you're not on a budget, just get the B16, you'll have lots of fun and get the 5 speed right away! You can boost it when you're ready since you already have the parts, and you won't have to build anything. I'm a huge fan of SOHC-T, but you're getting a killer deal here and it will be plenty fast.
