Opinions on exhaust set up for 95 civic si hatch with jdm itr motor........=)
Here are the possible routes I am considering:
1. 2.25" cat-back piping+ gutted cat + resonator+ oval es muffer....opinions on noise level/performance?
2. 2.25" cat-back piping + high flo cat + no resonator+ oval es muffler...opinions on noise level/performance?
3. 2.5" cat-back piping+ gutted cat+ resonator +oval es muffler....opinions
4. 2.5" cat-back piping + high flo cat+ no resonator + oval es muffler...opinions
5. Cant go straight pipe becuz the noise level will be off the heezy and I live in socal and would like to avoid the popo as much as possible....thnx
Also, from speaking with numerous exhaust specialists I have come to the conclusion that there is no need for 2.5" piping unless you are pumping out close to 300hp or if you're running some form of forced induction. I realize that 2.5 will most likely help me in the high end, but I would like to retain some low end.....anyway just give me your thoughts....

if you are concerned about noise then get the high flow cat/longest 2.25 resonator you can find and es muff.

SD cops are ********, anyways I have 2.25" piping and a straight pipe back to the stock muffler. It is pretty queit gets a little loud at times but nothing that would get you pulled over.

I've got a STOCK USDM B18C5 with only an AEM intake for 99-00 Si, P28 re-chipped by kenji here at H-T, and a Tanabe Racing medallion exhaust. I run the O.E Type R cat and it's pretty loud, but if you add the silencer you're A-O.K.
Power output?
175whp and 123lb/ft of torque.
I think that's pretty kick-*** on a stock cat with STOCK exhaust manifold.
And I LOVE the VTEC scream w/o the silencer. If you want to go stealth, add the silencer
