Re: Opinions On CF qualities (jonnyc)
fiber images is the best bang for the buck, you wont feel it in your pocket book if you damage that, but benen ind. makes the best quality carbon fiber.

Re: Opinions On CF qualities (h00kup)
ok fiber images sounds like the way to go
is the fiber images rear duckbill the exact same as the spoon one or is it a little different ???
benen is really that much better than fiber images ?
why is that ? the look of it or the quality ??? or something else ?

from what i understand benen uses kevlar in their carbon fiber stuff so it's a little bendable and stronger. i may be wrong, just what i remember.

yea benen is carbon kevlar so idf you hit something with it, it will bend and give somewhat, and when you hit something with carbon fiber it wont bend all so it will tend to crack

[QUOTE]CF=rice, if you want real weight reduction take out your seats or go for a jog to work off those extra pounds.
Unless your doing other extreme weight saving things to your car, then takeing out your rear seats is just gay.
Carbon Fiber is da chit!!!

Re: Opinions On CF qualities (dwnthehatch)
I have a VIS racing hood ant the quality is perfect. It fits just like the oem hood. All the edges and gaps are perfect. I have no idea if the mfg. a rear wing though.

A 10 pound weight reduction is hardly a performance mod. The Mclaren F1 is all CF to save weight on the WHOLE car. Just swapping the hood for 10lbs less weight is a usesless mod IE Rice.

Re: Opinions On CF qualities (CDM SiR)
reducing 10 pounds or whatever poounds from the hood is PART of the weight reduction.. and weight reduction ADDS UP.... geez..
all these pple think they are the real deal - racer.. and calling other pple rice.. just another form of wannabes, how's that different from rice...
if pple want to get a CF hood let them do it... 10 pounds is 10 pounds, if Spoon and tons of other tuner are doing it, there is a value in there you dont see...

Re: Opinions On CF qualities (B_zurC)
doesn't the VIS CF hood weigh almost the same as a OEM hood?
but not nearly as light as say a fiber images hood
i bought a vis and i love the quality
