Default Opinions on car

OK. Im about to turn 17 in less than half a year. And, I've been looking for my 1st car for a while. I want a EG coupe/hatch or del sol manual is a must, for under 2000. Is that too low of a price. Because I want a car in GOOD shape. Is this a realistic hope.
I'm very confused lately, tryin to figure out if I wanna have a car right now and just get my motorcycle sooner.
Any advice is greatly appreciated.

id say that you should try to find a HB that did not run. you'll get a great deal. then just fix it. you can learn a lot and by the time your 17 it should be running.. dont think you'll get much with 2000. unless it dont run.

Find a nice shell with a blown engine if you can, shouldn't be more than a grand. Then swap in a jdm d15b off Hmotorsonline for about $800 shipped. Problem solved.

Thats the thing. It has to run. That is a requirement made by my dad. If I were allowsed to buy cars that didnt run and fix them i could've had a badass 1991 rx7 turbo n have it fixxed by now. So it has to run.

I dont think you'll find a hatch in good condition unless it has like 150,000 miles on it. Maybe save 2 more grand.

Yah, 2 grand is almost impossible to find anything you want that doesn't have an outrageous amount of miles.

try to save some more money.

you could probably find a coupe or hatch for around 2,000 or less. it would be hard to find a del sol for that price.

you would be a ghetto toolbag because it sounds like you would be racing random people on the street and having an attitude like 80 % of the ricers/honda owners

maybe if you take it to the track and beat some wrx's or s2000s that would be an accomplishment
