Opinion on mods for my 2000 SI
Alright, got this completely bone stock, never been ragged on, garage kept.
still at 70,000 daily driven. Plus im graduating this year so ill be pulling the money in. i have about $1400 to spend. The plan with this car is to keep the b16a2 and just build it up eventually i want to go jackson s/c with nitrous. Not turbo. for money and because i daily drive it. i want opinions on if you think this is a good combo for the money.
so far the only mods i already have to the car are...
-Tein coilovers front and rear (I dropped it 2.5 in)
-Skunk2 front and rear camber kit
-Skunk2 short throw
-17" rotas with proxie4s
I decided this is what i would spend it on first...
- DCsport 4-1 header $325.00
- Apexi WsII $440
- Ingalls dampner (stiffy) $140
- exedy stage 2 clutch $500
- Skunk2 cam gears
and a tune up at my local race shop. $150
after i get some more money i plan on getting
- buddy club spec III cams
- Wiseco pistons
- eagle rods
- jackson s/c at 8lbs
- nx 55-75 direct port.

the statement that you don'y want to turbo it because it is your daily but you want to supercharge it and spray doesn't make any sencse to me, but, whatever. you should buy some type of security for it before dumping more money into it. " and a tune up at my local race shop. $150" what does that even mean? research will help you make more educated decisions about what you should do to your car. this is an excellent resource for this, so search and read read read. good luck.

leave the engine as is - maybe some bolt on but nothing more.
i would invest in security and some tasteful cosmetic mods such as -
OEM fogs in will yellow piaa bulbs
some HID retros
nice set of recaro seats front and redo t he rears to match
maybe you want to upgrade the brakes at a later point
leave the car alone - i own a 2000 civic si with 40k miles and it's completely bone stock.

I respect your choice to go with a supercharger and nitrous, but if you're looking for a DD that goes fast, nitrous wouldn't help much. A quality turbo with quality products on low boost would be more reliable methinks.

by tune up do you mean plugs and wires ? and take into consideration that nitrous does nothing good to a motor. if you want the all around power of the s/c why dont you just do a b20 vtec from what i've heard they have a wide power band. you already have a b16 head and either sell the b16 block or keep it just in case. and if you want even more power then go with bolt ons then s/c.

Spend your money on security!
Kill switches, alarms, locks, guard dogs, ninjas, garage, etc.
The damn things are magnets for trouble.
Speaking from bitter experience.
Nice car BTW!
