opinion on internals d16y8

I have a d16y8 needs to be rebuilt. i want to keep the same block and head but just make it bomb proof. some sugestions would be nice when when I am done building that, I can sell the d15b vtec. As for the build just what compression ratio would be resonable. What valve springs for what compression ratio.
