Default opinion

is a 2000 civic coupe with 59000 miles worth buying. it has nice aftermarket wheels and seems like it may have other work done to it. is it worth buying that much mileage?

seriously, 59k is nothin. a bunch of people here have 200,000 miles and up. check its "modification" by a professional mechanic tho. thats where things can go wrong. stock, it would be a fantastic car, but just make sure the previous owner didnt like ghetto rig anything and **** up stuff, so just have it checked out by a mechanic first, thats all.

I was looking online at it and of coarse the dealer doesnt have a price. Only reason i think it has other mods like as far as engine is because it has an aftermarket short shifter. no pics of the engine. i dont know i will go look at it. thanks for the opinions. ill be trading in a 99 accord for it if i do.

What model is it? EX? But yeah Hondas run forever. My old 89 Toyota Camry lasted till 320,000 miles then she said bye bye . Hondas and Toyotas are like the energizer bunny.

Why not take it over 4k rpm? My 99 SI only has 55000 miles and I have taken it to well over 6k rpm. Just curious.

Depends on the price and condition. The mileage is not high at all - it is average (or even slightly below) for a 5 year old car.

If it were being sold at a Honda dealership, model year 2000 and 59,000 miles would still qualify for Honda Certified Used status if it was bone stock and in great operating/looking condition. With modifications it won't qualify though . . .

My 2000 Civic has 71,000 miles on the odo so far. Bought it 2 years ago with 41,000; it was bone stock and still is. I've spent $0 on maintenance thus far, other than comsumables (tires, brakes, fluids).

My 1991 CRX race car has 239,000 on it. Bought it 1 year ago with 231,000. Original engine. Beat on it and redline it repeatedly every time I drive it, sometimes all day. As long as I keep it full of oil, it just won't quit

I've redlined my car. And by the way it is fun! No bottom end torque but I can feel it pull when the VTEC kicks in.

I wouldn't even pay $10,000 for a 2000 EX, especially with a bunch of mods. You could get a stock Si for that kind of price.
