Re: ► 01-05 Civic Suspension Questions? Ask them here! (coilovers, springs, bars, etc
well hello guys...i do not have a 01- civic but i do have a 00 civic ex...im having a problem maybe you guys can help me out...ok i bought lowering springs and put them on my stock shocks, after a few months i realized that the right side was 1 inch higher than the left...so this weekend me and my dad(who is a mechanic) took off my suspension in the front and switched them around..and we did the same with the back too..and to our surprise the right side was still higher by an inch still!!! so if its not the suspension then what could it be???? be nice if you guys can help me thnx.

This happened to me...Just tighten the allen key bolt with a impact gun, Zip it on good & tight. Or maybe you didn't sit the spring right. Or you may just need to break the springs in.

well we tighten them and they are sitting right..and i it cant be that they arent broken in cause we took the side that was lower and switched it to the higher side..but there was no change, the same side was still higher...man its annoying me because i cant think of anything but the suspension being the problem and its not!!! could it be the lower control arms??

check the frame or the mounting points. if you hit a bump hard enough, it'll tweak your frame enough to cause that.

well if you think about it the left side will be lower because the engine sits towards the left ( more weight not much but still may be enough to cause your problem)

^ what he said, over the years the weight of the driver changes the way the bushings sit. At this point even if you clock the bushing it will always be lower on the drivers side, unless you get coilovers and do some corner balancing which distributes the weight evenly.
