When i tape off the seals i don't want any of the old color showing if the seal moves a little so how should i tape it off. I have done a lot of paint jobs but they were all the same as the original color so i am not sure if i should take them off or just tape them off.

Are you talking about the moldings around the windows? If you are, they have masking tape just for that purpose. It sticks underneath the molding and then you pull it back so you can paint underneath. Go to a bodyshop supplier and ask them about it.

if not a good cheap way of doing it is to put yarn under it then tape it back, works pretty good
